Ski-in/Gondola Out
Situated at the base of Northstar Ski Resort, the Highland Gondola, a high-speed pulse-driven gondola with service to the slopes of Northstar, is right outside your door, so you can be on the mountain in minutes flat. When it’s time to head home, point your skis down “Home Run,” an intermediate slope down to the ski valet and your own back door.
Ski & Boot Valet
Winter or summer, Northstar Lodge makes it easy to be active, without having to haul and store your gear. Located off our Owner’s Lounge and opening to the base of the mountain, there’s always someone on hand to store your ski gear.
Media Theater
After a day in the sunshine, how about an evening at the movies? Northstar Lodge offers a private, 17-seat movie theater with 300 digital films on tap, from action to comedy to family films for all ages. Leather recliners and Dolby sound complete the big screen experience.

Spacious Lounge with Two Fireplaces
Relax with a good book or visit with new friends in front of a roaring fire in the Northstar Lodge Owner’s Lounge. Leather wingback chairs, comfortable sofas, games, books and beverages are all within reach, 24/7.
Village Swim and Fitness Club
Whether you’re looking for a serious workout or just need a game of foosball to relax, right next door is a spacious and well-appointed fitness facility featuring a regulation lap pool, children’s pool, hot tub, locker rooms, a fully-appointed workout room, pool table, foosball and television. Striped beach towels included.

Skating
Located in the heart of the Village at Northstar, the 9,000 square foot skating rink is the perfect ending to your day on the mountains.
Bungy Trampoline
Tahoe Apex Adventures owns and operates the popular year-round Apex Bungy, which features a safe, fun and challenging bungy trampoline that allows kids and adults let go of their limitations and fly into the sky!
The Villager Candle Shop, Pottery Painting & More
Carries an endless amount of candle shapes, 20 scents, and countless colors. The studio has space for small or large groups and tables perfect for children of all ages.

Historic Truckee
Once a rough logging burg, Truckee is now the central gateway to the North Shore of Tahoe. It’s also where you might see Paul McCartney in a free-form jam at a local restaurant, or find yourself seated next to an Olympic skier or mountain biker at a pub.
Balance Holistic Health Spa

Is a wellness center, which offers a variety of therapeutic and sports massages, yoga, chiropractic, acupuncture, and day spa services such as facials and body treatments.

Whether you seek adventure, guiding or learning a new sport, or you are a first-timer or a seasoned expert, Northstar California has the perfect school for you.
Cross Country Skiing
There is something about being outside after a snow storm in North Lake Tahoe – with the sun catching curtains of flakes that drift off snow-laden branches, and the soft slither of Nordic skis packing down powder – that is more than magical.
Snow Shoeing
Strap on a pair of show shoes and explore old-style. It’s the perfect way to see the wilds of Tahoe and to catch some deep, undiscovered powder.

 
Spring, Summer, & Fall Activities
Mountain Biking
The Lake Tahoe area offers unsurpassed mountain bike tour options for riders of all skill levels. During the summer, the mountain serves up over 100 miles of trails in what is the most extensive lift served mountain bike terrain in the Western U.S.
Hiking
Enjoy views of Lake Tahoe or come across a high Alpine Mountain Lake on many of the hikes around the North Lake Tahoe region. Hiking is a great option for the family young and old.
Golfing

Fishing
The closest fishing is in Sawmill Lake a secluded 10-acre reservoir stocked with hundreds of bright, fighting rainbow trout. The Truckee River is another popular destination that supports sport fishing.

Family time in the great outdoors couldn’t be more fun than a Geocache Adventure. Use your own GPS unit or rent one from The North Face in the Village at Northstar to locate caches hidden throughout mountain.
Miniature Golf
Try your hand at the new 9-hole miniature golf course that takes golfers on a meandering walk through the entire Northstar Village! Putters and golf balls areavailable to rent at the Summer Fun Center.

Horseback Riding
Piping Rock Equestrian Center offers year-round horseback riding and boarding in Truckee, welcoming all levels and types of riders. They offer both Western and English instruction, clinics, trail rides, summer camps and year-round riding programs.
Treetop Adventure Ropes Course Park
Voted the #1 Tahoe Activity on Trip Advisor, North Tahoe Adventures, in partnership with Granlibakken Resort, is offers the first Aerial Adventure Park in California.
Gem Panning
Kids will love panning for special stones, gems and even arrowheads in a sluice of running water. This activity is located on Village Overlook and tickets may be purchased at the Summer Fun Center.

Paddle Boarding
Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) has exploaded as a recreational activity among action sport ethusiasts. This is a serene and scenic experience where you can glide over magnificient granite boulders peering into the clear depths of Lake Tahoe.
Kayaking
The surrounding Lake Tahoe area offers incredible kayaking opportunities. There are kayak tours that can point out ecology, geology, and natural human history along the way.
Boating
The best way to explore the lake is on a boat. The north and south shore are surrounded by pristine beaches just waiting for you to discover them.
