This year, the event kicks off on Tuesday, October 24. That evening, the teams will register, and opening ceremonies will precede the festivities before the actual contest commences the next morning. A shotgun blast signaling the start of the action will ring out at 8 a.m.
Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the boats will be out, and the fishers will be hard at work. Then between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on both days, contestants will haul their largest catches to the official weigh station located near the Puerto Paraiso Mall, a popular local shopping center.
On Saturday night, the competition will conclude with an awards ceremony at the A.P.I. Cruise Ship Pier, where all tournament contestants are welcome to attend.
