Estrella – Something for Everyone
Estrella serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, year-round. From simple favorites (sweet potato pancakes topped with caramel and ginger butter, to grilled yellowfin or Caesar salad) to traditional Mexican classics (ceviche, mole, fajitas and taquitos), the whole family can enjoy a quick bite after the pool, or an authentic Mexican fine dining experience after sunset. In addition to our Baja-Med specialty dishes, our wood-fired oven turns out beautiful flatbreads, roast chicken, short ribs and vegetable lasagna.
Some of Chef’s signature dishes include Baja Street Tacos, Valle de Guadalupe Paella, and Smoked Esquites.
Sirena del Mar by Welk Resorts is located on the ocean side of the Cabo Bello neighborhood, a short drive from town. Nuestra casa es su casa. Located on the main pool level, Estrella has seating for 120 indoors, 60 on the patio, and the Vino Cava, a 12-person private dining room and wine vault.

Estrella is modeled on a refined Mexican colonial interior. This architectural jewel features traditional Talavera tiles mixed with carefully-crafted pieces from local artists complementing distinguished interior architecture. From the boldly patterned tiles to the central fountain and colorful glass star chandelier, to the wood-fired pizza oven, each element embodies a modern interpretation of traditional Mexican techniques.
Our Chef – Re-inventing Mexican Cuisine
Executive Chef Abraham Tamez grew up in Mexico City, where he learned to cook at his grandmother’s side. He earned a scholarship to the Corbuse Instituto Gastronomico where he studied under the executive chef at Restaurante del Lago, one of Mexico City’s best restaurants. After several executive chef positions in Cabo San Lucas, he joined the Welk Resorts family as executive chef at Sirena del Mar in 2014. Chef Abraham is committed to making the new restaurant, Estrella, one of the best in Mexico. His signature menu features a combination of Baja-Med cuisine and pre-Hispanic dishes with a modern twist.
