What is my “use” year?

  • Your “use” year is based on the calendar year. To make a reservation for a Welk Resort or accrue your Points for use in the future, simply log on to the Owner’s Lounge, and select “Reservations” in the “Owners Services” section. You must travel between January 1 and December 31 or your Ownership Points will expire on December 31.

How do I know how many points I have left?

  • Please log on to the Owner’s Lounge, and under the Owner Services section, select “Reservations.” There you will see what reservations you have booked and how many Points you have left in your account to “use” during the year.

If I can’t use all my points, will they automatically roll over to next year?

  • Please log on to the Owner’s Lounge, and under the “Owner Services” section, select “Reservations.” Under the “Accrue” column, select the year you wish to accrue prior to August 31 to carry over (i.e., “accrue”) 100% of your unused Points to the following year.
  • Requests made after August 31 and up to December 31 accrue only 50% of your Points. No Points are accrued after December 31 of your “use” year.

How can I use my extra points?

  • Your accrued Points may be used to extend a vacation, upgrade to a larger size villa or combine with unused Points to deposit with an exchange company. Contact Owner Services at 855.455.WELK to discuss your options.
  • Accrued Points reserved for use at Welk Resorts have a 60-day reservation window. Accrued Points expire December 31 on the year of accrual (i.e., they expire the year following the actual “use” year).

May I borrow points from future years?

  • Yes, you may borrow Points from a future year. These Points may be used to extend a vacation, upgrade to a larger size villa, or combine with unused Points to deposit with an exchange company. Contact Owner Services at 855.455.WELK to prepay Association Dues for use of borrowed Points.
  • Borrowed Points for use at Welk Resorts have a 60-day reservation window.

How early can I make my reservation?

  • Your “use” year may be reserved for a Week at Welk Resorts fifteen (15) months prior to the requested check-in day (7-night increments based on resort check-in days).
  • You may reserve “use” year split-week reservations four (4) months prior to the requested check-in day (2-night minimum), except major holiday weeks.
  • Split-week reservations that occur during major holiday weeks may only be made less than 60 days from the requested check-in date.
  • Accrued and borrowed Points being used at Welk Resorts may be reserved no earlier than 60 days prior to the requested check-in day (2-night minimum).
  • You may request to bank a Week with an exchange company. Please see the section titled, “Exchanging.”

Can I use points for less than a week?

  •  You may reserve split-week reservations four (4) months prior to the requested check-in day (2-night minimum), except major holiday weeks, which you may only reserve less than 60 days, including holiday split, from check-in date.

Does it cost more points for weekend versus weekday use?

  • The daily breakdown for Points is as follows: 25% of a weekly point rate is used for Friday and Saturday, 10% of a weekly point rate is used for Sunday through Thursday. This equals 100% of weekly Point values.

What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?

  • All cancelled or changed reservations will be charged a $50 fee.
  • If an Owner cancels/changes more than two months prior to the occupancy date, all the Points are returned to the Owner’s account with no reservation restrictions.
  • If an Owner cancels/changes less than two months, but more than seven days, from the occupancy date, 100% of the Points are returned to the Owner’s account, and the Points can only be reserved in a 60-day reservation period.
  • If an Owner cancels/changes less than seven days from the occupancy date, 50% of the Points will be returned to the Owner’s account, and the Points can only be reserved in a 60-day reservation period.

How can I upgrade my villa to a larger size?

  • You may accrue Points to next year or you may borrow Points from a future year to use in combination with Ownership usage year Points. If you wish to borrow Points from a future year, Association Dues for that year must be prepaid. For your convenience, we can collect the Association Dues over the phone, by credit card.
  • Please remember, borrowed or accrued Points for use at Welk Resorts have a 60-day reservation window.

Can I let someone else use my points?

  • Family and friends may use your Points reservation. There is a small one-time fee for this transfer.
  • Please log on to the Owner’s Lounge, and under “Owner Communications,” select “Document Library.” Here you will find the Guest Authorization letter to download as PDF. Complete the form and return it using the instructions included.
  • Please keep in mind that you will be responsible for all personal charges and/or damages to the villa resulting from your guests.
  • All guests under twenty-one (21) years of age must be accompanied by you or a guest twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • You also have the option of giving Points to another Platinum Owner at no additional charge. You will need to email Owner Services authorizing the transfer of your Points, ownerservices@welkgroup.com.

How do I deposit Points with an exchange company?

  • Please log on to the Owner’s Lounge, and under “Exchange Companies,” select “Exchange Deposit Request Form.” Complete the form and follow the instructions. You may also call Owner Services at 855.455.WELK or email ownerservices@welkgroup.com, and we will assign a Week and place it directly into your exchange account.
  • Let us know if you would like to deposit Points equivalent to a Studio (90,000 Points), a One Bedroom (120,000 Points), or a Two Bedroom (240,000 Points). All monthly payments and Association Dues must be current. If you wish to deposit Points for a future year, fees must be prepaid. You may pay the fees by logging into the Owner’s Lounge or by calling Owner Services at 855.455.WELK.
