A new Spin on a classic musical!

Welk Theater San Diego (Escondido, CA) August 22, 2011 — The Welk Theatre is proud to announce the opening of Man of La Mancha. Director/Choreographer Dan Mojica and Producer Joshua Carr put a new spin on this classic Broadway piece with songs that include To Dream The Impossible Dream, Dulcinea, I'm Only Thinking of Him and more! A NEW storytelling concept of this classic musical where the actors will not only take on the characters of the "play within the play", but also serve as the show's musicians and ensemble players. This conceptual idea will use real instruments as well as props and various pieces that are organically created or found within the set.

The cast features John Lalonde of Riverside as Don Quixote, Natalie Nucci of Escondido as Aldonza, Daniel Berlin of Mission Viejo as Sancho, Karenssa Legear of Vista as Antonia, Ben Misek of Los Angeles as Carrasco, John Polhamus as the Governor and a very talented cast of players including April Henry/El Cajon, Raquel Sandler/Calabassas, Lucas Coleman and Joseph Almohaya/ San Diego, Andrew Wade//Glendale, AJ Mendoza/Upland, and Jason Lee of Escondido.
